EVA Airways received 5-Star Airline ranking from SKYTRAX on June 15, 2016. SKYTRAX is an international recognized air transport standards and quality rating organization.
The 5-star ranking is based on analysis from professionals in as many as 800 different area of products and services that EVA Air provides to the customers. Currently only 8 airlines, including EVA Air, is recognized to the industry’s highest standard. The other seven SKYTRAX 5-star airlines are All Nippon Airways, Asiana Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, Garuda Indonesia, Hainan Airlines, Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines
The evaluation process took place over a year ago in May 2015. SKYTRAX sent auditors to fly the airline and analyze airport and onboard products in addition to frontline staff service on the ground and in the air. These auditors flew multiple EVA flights from different gateways and sampled all of the carrier’s cabin classes during the year-long process of certifying the 5-Star Airline Rating.
“The SKYTRAX 5-Star Rating is an award shared by every EVA staff member and employee,” said EVA Chairman Steve Lin. “It also reminds us all that we must never lose sight of our commitment to being the best or falter in our quest to continually improve and innovate.”
